Sales Reports

Ranch Vision's Sales reports provide different views of projected livestock and fiber sales: where projected sales come from, how much is projected to be received, what sales make up those totals, and when receipts are projected to enter the business.

 Sales Breakdown

The Sales Breakdown report shows the projected percentage contribution of the different livestock and fiber sales categories to total projected sales during the year following the inventory date.

Depending on the enterprises modeled, categories can include breeding livestock, weaned animals, stockers or feeders, and fiber sales such as wool or mohair.

How to use it: Use this report to quickly see which types of sales are expected to generate the largest share of livestock and fiber sales and how diversified those projected sales are across categories.

Annual Sales

The Annual Sales report shows the amounts projected to be received from livestock and fiber sales in each of the next five years. The chart separates projected sales by species and also shows the total.

How to use it: Use this report for a high-level view of projected sales over time and to see how the contribution from cattle, sheep, and goats is expected to change across the five-year projection.

Detailed Sales

The Detailed Sales reports show the projected receipts that make up Annual Sales. Ranch Vision provides separate Cattle Sales, Sheep Sales, Goat Sales, Wool Sales, and Mohair Sales reports as applicable to the ranch.

The livestock reports break projected sales down by livestock class for each of the next five years. Wool and Mohair Sales provide the corresponding fiber-sale detail.

How to use it: Use these reports to identify which livestock classes or fiber sales are driving projected revenue and to understand how those receipts are expected to change from year to year.

Sales Inflow

The Sales Inflow report shows when projected receipts from livestock sales are expected to enter the business during the 12 months following the inventory date.

How to use it: Annual Sales shows projected sales by year; Sales Inflow shows when those receipts are projected to arrive. Review Sales Inflow alongside Purchases Outflow to understand a major component of the ranch's overall cash-flow position. Potential cash shortages may sometimes be addressed by adjusting the timing of planned livestock purchases and sales.
